Vaidehi Pigeon Pea is a medium-duration, high-yielding variety developed for balanced vegetative growth and consistent grain production. Plants grow to a height of 140–160 cm, with strong stems and well-branched canopies that support heavy pod load and stable yields.

Pods are uniform and well-filled, containing 3–5 bold, flavorful seeds with excellent cooking quality and market appeal. The grains are suitable for both household consumption and commercial trade.

Vaidehi shows strong resistance to key diseases, especially Fusarium Wilt and Sterility Mosaic Disease (SMD), reducing crop losses and ensuring healthy plant growth across different environments.
